In November, we presented the logo for Kragerø Kunstskole with great response from the committee. We will continue our collaboration, developing their graphic identity over the coming months.
The mark is loosely based upon the typeface Mensch by Lost Type. The letters were redrawn with sharp 90 degree angles (completely non existent in the original typeface) and more curved corners for a matching contrast.
The idea is to have a logo that can easily fit into an already very established market, communicating its full name, but simultaneously being unique. On close inspection, its details are obvious, but further away they seem almost non-present.

To further add to the school’s wide range of courses, we intentionally ignored defining a specific colour-scheme, meaning any two combinations are allowed (one for the logo, and one for the background). Whether it will be used consequently throughout the identity, or just occasionally, is yet to be decided.
